Just curious. If you belong to the Mothers of Incarcerated Sons support group, that according to the radio has regular meetings, do you get kicked out if your child is paroled or placed on house arrest?
I would have to answer, no. Once the mother of a convicted felon, always the mother of a convicted felon. It's sort of like being Jewish: If you come out of a Jewish vagina you're jewish for life. Don't believe in religion? Tough shit, still a Jew. But...
If your kid get's the chair do you get elevated to some kind of leadership position within the group? Like you have the best, most bad ass felon kid?
Odds are your paroled son will be incarcerated again soon. I believe that you just leave the group until he goes back in. It's probably OK to drop by with cookies and stuff and let them know how he's progressing.
