The AP is at it again
I hate to straight up call the AP a group of bigots, but this pretty much speaks for itself. The link below may take you to the shot in question. They dug deep for a picture of Biggie in handcuffs in 1996 to report that his family was paid $1.1 million by the city of Los Angeles for hiding evidence that linked two LAPD officers to his murder. Basically, they're making a point to call Biggie a criminal, as if he was a menace to society. Or as if he was shot while running from the cops.
All I want to say is please don't forget what the AP did during Katrina with the pictures of white looters
"finding food" and black looters "looting." Also, please know that people aren't being hard on the AP, it's the most respected organization in the game. These guys distribute news and photos to the entire nation, they should be held to the highest standards.
In case the link doesn't work, the caption reads: Rap star Chris Wallace aka Notorious B.I.G., walks to a waiting police car outside the 6th Police Precinct in the borough of Manhattan Saturday, March 23, 1996 in New York. A federal judge Friday Jan. 20, 2006 has ordered the city of Los Angeles to pay $1.1 million in legal costs to the family of slain rapper Notorious B.I.G. as sanctions for intentionally withholding evidence during the family's civil lawsuit trial. Im still new to this bloggin thing - which is why I haven't ever left a comment even though I read regularly...I just don't see WHAT a pic of him being arrested in NY has to do w/LAPD paying his fam money for with-holding evidence. I personally would've preferred a pic of the Officers that withheld the damn evidence...
